More information
Please note that:
- Near real-time river flows are only available for England — these come from the Environment Agency Hydrology data service.
- River flow data for the last few days is often not available via the Environment Agency Hydrology data service — step back a few days to see the most recent data, or switch to monthly data.
- Dotted lines on the river flow graphs mean data remain unchecked (by the Environment Agency) and may be erroneous.
- River flow data for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, rainfall and groundwater data and the standardised indices are currently only available to the end of the previous month.
View a video of how to use the UK Water Resources Portal and go to the About page for more information about the portal, including the datasets and methods used.
For more information on major flood and drought events see the occasional reports of the National Hydrological Monitoring Programme.
